Question about giveaways.....

Sorry for the absence. I haven't had the words or time to really write a post... Because I didn't think that you would just want to see the same pictures that I would post on my Facebook page. (If I'm wrong please let me know)
Today I want to talk about something that I've been thinking about a lot lately...
Giveaways.
I noticed that a lot of people will start to follow a page or a blog just for giveaway and then shortly thereafter un like or stop following. And it honestly really kind of irks me a little bit. People continuously do this... I mean really do you think a page or blog is not going to ever do another giveaway. I mean really....  if you like a page you should not like it just because of the giveaway you should like it because of the nail art or the person behind it. So for those people that just follow this blog or like my facebook page they're just doing it for a giveaway please trust and believe that I do notice when I post about having a giveaway and then get more likes shortly thereafter. I do make note of it so, you can't win back to back giveaways. So with that being said, I don't know that I want to do anymore Rafflecopter giveaways. I am thinking about just doing random giveaways where you don't know when it will happen or what you'll have to do for the giveaway.
I would like your opinion and thoughts on how you would like giveaways to happen. Would you like Rafflecopter? Would you like contests? Would you like random? Or would you prefer something more monthly... where there's a monthly contest?
Please let me know your opinions and thoughts. You can leave it in the comments below or you can go to my Facebook fan page and leave your opinions and thoughts there too. I do accept constructive criticism but I do not accept or condone hate so please take it somewhere else if that's all you have in your heart.
I will leave you with my latest and current mani! :) It's a three color gradient with NN3000 Carpe Diem on top Blueberry Creme in the middle and Wow-A-Doodle (summer 2013) on the tips, stamped with NN3000 Basic Black and Pween plate #36 from the Love Elements set.

  1. Hi Neffy! First of all - BEAUTIFUL mani! Here is my essay-err-response to your inquiry: OK, here's the nitty-griity cold (warm!) hard truth!! So technical stuff first: If it's a totally fair, just straight up giveaway, I would vote for Rafflecopter so that it's fair. When you see "giveaways" go to the blogger's friends or "favorite subscribers" that's a little weird. That said, contests are fun, too, and encourage participation and "check backs" so would mix it up a bit and have both rafflecopters and contest! As far as people "liking" just to do a giveaway, then unsubscribing: so many people are blogging now that if the art or swatches or polish selection or photography is fantastic, people (or I for one) will keep the subscription alive and check back regularly! I LOVE a good blog post as much (well, nearly as much :-)) as winning a giveaway! I stick with the blogs that are "fresh" beautiful, funny, and for me personally feature polish I love and great pics. So anyway, that's my scoop! That said, I think giveaways are a great way for new subscribers to learn about your blog and also for old people who unsubscribed to give it a fresh try and maybe this time they're hooked! I've seen some blogs become fantastic over time, while others abandon their blogs and I think it's only fair to add/subtract accordingly so that the blog roll is manageable & enjoyable.

  2. Hey Hun :)

I love me some heart to heart, I do it on my blog from time to time tool Actually there is one up for today :) I just want to say that I agree on the topic, and if you read todays post on my blog I have a point too :) lol :)
Me on the other hand, a small little blogger from Norway really appreciate my readers interacting so I have from time to time a spescial reader/commenter giveaway, just as a little something exstra, showing that I really appreciate them. Sometimes I don't even announce it before I ask for their address. I don't have a lot of readers, but the ones I have are Awesome, I am all up for us to be genuinely interested and supportive of eachother as bloggers, and as readers. There is many of us, but we all do this because we love it and we all put our time and effort behind it, so I rather have genuine readers than the ones who ONLY wants new nail polish. I also agree with Unknown up here, it is a good way to maybe get some new followers, but as long as they stay, maybe 1 out of 5 will stay. Well I will take that one than :) <3

Thankks for sharing your thoughts Neffy <3
